Lecturer James' most interesting lecture class.
A CLASS TO REMEMBER.
Article by Jewa Ian
In a scale of 10 I can rate Mr. James' recent class 9. Reason being the flamboyance, catching and knowledgeable that Mr James impacted us, his students. He is a versatile teacher who knows the kind of students he is dealing with. We are the Genz generation so one should hold us as such. He knows how to read the mind and physiology of his students. This is a recommendation for youngsters students.
Mr. James' started the class by asking us to write down the qualifications we would need for our new employees in a new T.V or a radio station. He was disappointed by some of the qualifications that most of us wrote because they were disqualifying us too. For example someone wrote that the employee should have a three-year experience. However Mr James encouraged us by saying that one has an experience even by the articles they have been writing in campus assignments. What they should do is put every work they have been writing in a portfolio and it will serve as an experience during job seeking.
Mr. James also taught us on how to write advertising message through SMS and MMS. This made me learn how the goods and services companies around send their anonymous messages to their potential customers. Surely Mr. James is a lecturer to be hold. Unlike other lecturers he stands out by the fact that he is friendly and corrects with love plus guidance on them.
During his last part of his lesson, Mr. James taught us how to speak in public. He introduced the chair lady who introduced the name of the public speaking club and it's officials. The first speaker was a girl named Kendy who talk about herself. Kenday captured her audience with her emotional speech that revealed that she had a deadbeat dad who was absent all through her life. The most interesting part about her speech is that she was about to pass her exams and go to Ngara Girls eventually pursue her mass communication course at the Technical university of Mombasa. What a story with a happy ending!
The second speaker was a boy named Musyoki who stole the class with his amazing speech. However his speech took more than 2 minutes, a mistake that disqualified him. All in all the class learnt alot from it since it was an outstanding speech of the day. He had no grammar mistakes and we could also notice a change in his Kamba ascent. Musyoki flamboyantly delivered his speech with eloquence, fluency and relevant body movements.
Inconclusion, I can say that Mr James is a Guidian Angel that God brought to us. He is a stepping stone to our excellence. However it is to those that take his actions seriously who will succeed. I choose to end my article by qouting a qoute I learnt from Mr James' class by William Shakespeare "A good speech is like a woman's skit, long enough to cover the subject and short enough to create interest."
