Social media being the interactive technologies that facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, interests and other forms of expressions through virtual communities and networks. It has reduce the world into a small village where anyone can access content and knowledge within a fraction of seconds. On the other hand, mental health is the normal or abnormal state of the mind. Situations, conditions and experiences sharp the state of the mind either positively or negatively.

Currently social media has given alot of pressure to youngsters and fully adults at some point. Luxury lifestyle portrayed by Celebrities has discourage patience in youths and encourage fake life in order to pretend that they are updated just like the Celebrities. This has lead to depression among most youths since they think they their life is stuck and not flamboyant like the one they see on social media.

As a result of social media pressure, the youths have come up this a saying and I qoute "Fake it till you make it." This qoute has landed most youths into hot soup. Some have end up getting pending bills and loans since they wanted to fake to the society that they can afford certain lifestyle. Depression cames in when they can not pay the loans and the goods they took on credit.

Most teenage girls and young adults try to bleach their skin to look a certain way, which they think it's nice looking. As a result they end up looking like zebras with two or more skin colours since they use cheap products to bleach their skin. This can be blamed on the socialite Celebrities who bleach their skin with expensive products a render pressure to youngsters. Mental health is severely affect when girls end up tarnishing their skin colour. Some consider suicide as an option.

Mental health affects how we think, feel and act. It also affects our everyday life, such as work, relationships and study. Looking after our social and emotional wellbeing is as important as keeping our body healthy. When we're feeling emotionally healthy we can be fully present with our family, friends and community.Mental health is more than just talking about mental health conditions, like anxiety or depression. Research shows that good mental health is linked to:improved learning, creativity, higher levels of productivity, better social relationships, good physical health and increased life expectancy.

I conclude be saying that one should not allow themselves to be trapped by social media pressure and be like chaff that follows the wind direction. They should work smart, be patient and hopeful. Things will change gradually and they will once be successful in life if they put in positive effort.
